As you may have already heard on our blog, or social media; Conrad Consulting planned a fundraising event for Engineers without Borders UK, where we would take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge in less than 12 hours.
Well, we are all glad to say that we are finally over the hills and far away, because we all accomplished the challenge with respectable finishing times of 10:57 for the faster paced Conradians, and 11:13 for the following crusaders. And we managed to achieve our fundraising target!
14 of us from Leeds, Suffolk & Edinburgh all headed to rural Yorkshire last Friday and prepared for our early morning start on Saturday 9th June, to take on the mighty challenge.
It was a great day filled with lots of walking, epic views of the Yorkshire Dales and catching up with our regional colleagues.
Although we are now back in our offices and revelling in our accomplishment, we didn't accomplish the task completely unscathed - we are still recovering from a few sore limbs, joints and blisters but overall, all of the red faces, deep breathing, twisted ankles, and aches & pains that followed were well worth it.
A massive thank you to all those who supported us and made a donation to Engineers without Borders UK. It is still not too late, to make a contribution.
